Chelmsford City 3 Weston-super-Mare AFC 2
Weston-super-Mare AFC went in at half time leading 1-0 against Chelmsford City thanks to a 39th minute goal from the one and only Sahr Kabba. The team were without a number of regular players and had to call on Under 19 squad players Jake Mawford and Jack Camm to provide cover on the bench.
The second half was a completely different story with Chelmsford City equalising through a defelected free kick from David Rainford (59) and then taking the lead with a goal from Kezie Ibe (67). A second yellow card for Naboi Diallo, playing in defence today, in the 84th minute saw him head for an early shower. Warren Whitely sealed the game with Chelmsford’s 3rd goal in the 89th minute and despite Nat Pepperell knocking home a penalty in injury time it was a fourth successive loss for the Seagulls.
Next Saturday, 25th February, Weston-super-Mare AFC are on the road again, away to Sutton United.
