Description:
A new poll funded by the Skills Funding Agency has deemed Weston College to be the best in the west.
The Framework for Excellence Survey which measured ‘learner satisfaction’ showed that students at Weston College were more satisfied than those in Bath, Bristol, Strode, Wiltshire and Exeter colleges.
More than 3,000 students took part in the survey. Weston College received an overall score of 84 per cent; its highest mark, 89 per cent was for the respect students receive from staff.
The Skills Funding Agency is a partner organisation of the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills, which invests £4 billion annually in colleges and training organisations to fund training for adults in England.
College Principal Dr Paul Phillips OBE is delighted with the result, he said “This is an excellent result and shows just how highly students think of their College. I am very proud of our team at Weston College and the fact that their tremendous hard work has been appreciated by so many learners and now recognised by the Government.”
